Update... 
surface low will continues to meander over northestern Arkansas at this time...with the closed upper 
low centered vicinity of the Arkansas/la brdr...between ktxk and kshv. Drier 
air aloft continues to advect northeastward into the southern half of the forecast area...with 
just some patchy rain noted. Bulk of precipitation continues to affect northern 
part of the forecast area at middle morning. 


Updated forecast to reflect current temperature and precipitation trends. Expect 
precipitation chances to increases across southern Arkansas later today as the upper low tracks 
further eastward. Still looking at a mixture of rain and snow for those 
areas this afternoon...with little in the way accumulation. Current Winter 
Weather Advisory expires at noon. May have to extend the advisory into the late 
afternoon hours...but will continue to monitor radar trends/surface reports. /44/

Aviation... 
low pressure continues to rotate in east central Arkansas. Surface 
low will not move out of the area until upper low moves through 
tonight. Rain...low clouds and fog will continue in most areas. 
Snow is expected north and west. Precipitation will not end until 
late tonight. High pressure will move in for Monday and Tuesday. 
IFR and lfr conditions are expected.
