Discussion... 
weak weather system moving onshore at this time and not looking to 
have too much punch. Radar showing some weak returns in Shasta 
County but with Redding just now picking up very light rain. Overall 
where there is moisture today...looks to be pretty light. This was 
covered well in previous forecast...but will tweak pop/quantitative precipitation forecast a tad to 
the lower side. Rasch 


Extended discussion (thursday through sunday)... 
medium range model suite indicates that the pattern over norcal is 
expected to remain relatively unchanged through the extended period 
with systems from the Gulf of Alaska forecast to weaken as they move 
into the persistent strong mean upper ridge along the West Coast. 
Will continue to maintain low precipitation probabilities across the 
far northern portion of the forecast area and northern mountains as 
these systems pass by late this week and next weekend.

weak Pacific cold front and associated upper trough moves through today into Monday morning. For 
interior norcal...generally VFR exc local MVFR/IFR poss in showers north of a 
kuki-ksve line until 12z Monday. Snow level at or above 055 amsl today lowering to around 040 
amsl tonight. West-northwest flow aloft local southwesterly surface wind gusts to 35 kts over hyr 
Sierra Nevada terrain until 06z Monday.
