High pressure over the northern plains will continue to give VFR
conditions throughout the taf period. Northwest winds will gradually back
to west-southwest by the end of this taf cycle.

Previous discussion... /issued 825 PM CDT Friday Mar 19 2010/

Update...
took flurries and snow showers out of Wisconsin coastal areas.
Decreased clouds except for areas east of Bayfield peninsula and
east of Hayward. Kept northwest winds up...but just a little.

Discussion...
high pressure over southern Saskatchewan and eastern Montana will
go below US during the next 48 hours...keeping winds offshore most
areas and progressivly less onshore as winds back. With the cold
column and a gradually tightening gradient...we increased winds a
small amount. With very low dew points advecting in from southern
Manitoba...we decreased clouds and saw that there just is not
enough moisture for any flurries or showers from the lake. Some middle
and high clouds south and southeast of Duluth are associated with
a major snowstorm over the central rockies that will remain well
south of our area. The whole outlook here seems pretty dry.
